In June 2009 Slovenia will be hosting three consecutive weekends of gravity fed mountain bike racing, covering three venues in three different regions of the country.

The show starts in Kranjska Gora with the mountain bike downhill European Championships. Then the caravan moves on to Maribor for the fifth round of downhill and 4-cross of the Nissan UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. A week later another important race, the 4-cross European Championships on the "Black Thorn" track in Ajdovščina.

Coordination by three organizers assured the riders a bit of a "Slovenian holiday". The distances between the venues are short and they should be able to take it easy for a couple of days, maybe do some fun riding and discover the country. It is also an excellent excuse for the fans to pay a visit to the Slovenian singletrack.
